Celebrating Women In Engineering

Today, June 23, is National Women in Engineering Day – a day dedicated to celebrating the extraordinary achievements of women in engineering and recognizing the path they have paved for a more inclusive and diverse future.

In a world where innovation and progress are driven by technological advancements, women have been breaking barriers and leaving an indelible mark in the field of engineering. Their brilliance, tenacity, and unwavering determination continue to reshape industries, drive change, and inspire generations to come.

According to the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) in the United States, women make up about 13-15% of the engineering workforce, and the number of women earning engineering degrees has been steadily increasing. In the United States, women earned about 22% of bachelor's degrees in engineering in the 2019-2020 academic year, according to the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).

The accomplishments of women in engineering are a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and unwavering belief in one's abilities.

As we celebrate their achievements, let us continue to champion gender equality, foster an inclusive environment, and provide equal opportunities for all aspiring engineers. Together, let us build a world where every aspiring engineer, regardless of gender, can thrive and contribute to shaping a brighter tomorrow.
